For this unit we had to create a storyboard, i chose to do mine about a mental patient who hallucenates about spider mutants crawling out of Care Bears until she flips out and has to be "calmed down" with some good ol' morphine. Mmm mmm. Whether or not this is actually clear within the story board would be something I'd really like to be told about. So if this makes sense to you, PLEASE TELL ME.
Sketch was made on paper with a HB mechanical Pencil, scanned into Photoshop, line art made with the pen and anchor tool then coloured with the brush using the smudge, burn and doge tool. Used textured overlays along with gradient overlays too.
The story seems perfectly clear to me, although that could just be because I read your blog prior to looking at the image :/ But anyway, fact of the matter is I can clearly follow your storyboard (which is most impressive, btw).
ReplyDeleteI particularly love your use of textural and gradient overlays. It really adds depth to the piece as a whole. The segregation of the sections is different, as well. More personalised to you, rather than just having simple square boxes. I like it :)
Sure you don't want to do comic-strips for a career?! You'd be really good at it ;)
Thanks for sharing!
Blessed Be.
